Inspired by: Benoit Blanc

Have you seen Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery yet? I thought it was such a clever and fun movie. I found myself absolutely fixated on Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) and his amazing wardrobe. Dude’s bandana game is STRONG.

One thing I often hear from customers is that they think they “can’t” wear bandanas. But this is so not true! Rolling one up is one of the easiest ways to style one of these versatile kerchiefs, and it looks great on everyone! I freaking love all the rolled bandana styles that Benoit Blanc sported in Glass Onion, and I put together this roundup, using my own wardrobe pieces, to show how they might translate to every day life. To see my Reels series, check Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 on Instagram.

Part 1, Poolside

Starting off with his poolside ensemble. I don’t personally own a cabana stripe matching set, but I DO have this adorable and flowy shift dress. Confession time, I’ve never actually worn it out because it’s so boxy, and I’m so short. But by adding a skinny belt, it created a more hourglass look. Maybe I’ll finally wear it!

Anyhoo! I paired it with my loosely knotted ‘Resist, Persist, Dissent” bandana for a more effortless, yet still sophisticated style. Then I added dressier flip flops to match the occasion, and these super rad mismatched earrings by my pal Chrystalis Co. Now, only if I had a Mediterranean vacation on the books…

Part 2, Seaside Rendezvous

This slightly nautical style was a fun one to recreate, because it’s the closest to my personal style—super simple, neutral, but still a little patterned. I tied a thick knot with my ‘Votes’ bandana in Powder Pink, and tucked the edges in, creating a choker style. I paired it with this Breton Stripe-like tank from Madewell, These Tiny Brass Dot stud earrings by Poor Sparrow, Toms Jutti Neat Flats, and a pair of wide-leg black jeans from Gap.

Throw on a moto jacket or a wrap, and maybe you’re ready for a nighttime rendezvous by the sea?

I’m so awkward. Can you see the fear in my eyes?

Part 3, The Inspector

This look has inspired me to wear my Sugar Camp bandanas twisted up, like all the time. I love how it kinda takes on the appearance of a necklace/ascot hybrid. So upscale, yet casual, all at once!

I had a harder time emulating this outfit—part inspector, part vacation casual. I only have one pair of linen pants (which I wear all the time when it’s warm), so olive pants it is! And fitted button up shirts? I abandoned those after I left my last hostess gig in college. But this flowy-fitting denim button down is my favorite, so it’ll have to do!

I hope you appreciate this last, very loose, interpretation of Mr. Benoit Blanc’s Glass Onion style.
